WebChatGPT does not have user accounts and does not save your conversations. Messages are sent by the official ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini page.
When you turn on Web Access, the extension uses the search engine on your computer (for example Google or Bing). It reads the title, snippet, and link of those search results so it can fill the official input box. We do not store those results on our servers.
We do not collect your name, email address, or payment information.
Optional sign-in. Some future features may allow you to sign in with an email address; if so, we will update this policy beforehand and sign-in will remain optional.
Search results are used only to fill the official ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini input box. We do not use this data for advertising profiles or to train models.
Extension settings stay on your device (chrome.storage). The built-in Prompt Library is included in the installed package. We do not keep a user profile for you on our servers.
When Web Access is on:
We do not send search queries, search results, or conversations to servers we operate. We do not sell data. We do not give conversations or search results to advertising platforms or data brokers.
Website access is requested only for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and the search engines we use, so the extension can provide Web Access and show its toolbar on those pages.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
